This is a promo shot for the SSV (Suplemental Scout Vehicle). The unit was trailered to IH dealerships around the country in 1978 as a sort of "Show & Tell" for the general public and four-wheel drive enthusiasts. These units were made using a composite fiberglass material and weighed only 1/3 as much as the current Scout models. The SSV was still built with the 'then' current Scout II running gears.
This SSV made it's only Missouri appearance at Roedel Brothers, Inc. in St. Louis on June 30, 1978.
